I’m Jen, keeper of the virtual Yellow Cottage.

I spent 3 years as a Professional Organizer, helping families across Alabama gain some control over their homes.

In 2021, I took off my Professional Organizer hat and accepted a job as a remote Accounts Payable Accountant. The downward spiral of the economy and some level of burnout led to that big change.

After a little hiatus from blogging, I’m back and desire desperately to encourage women to live authentically in their homes.

I want my readers to know that they are not alone in their struggles and the busyness that crowds their calendars.

I want to offer tips and solutions to help moms who are struggling to get kids fed and shuffled from place to place.

We are all real people with real lives.

Our homes aren’t perfectly curated like a designer Instagram feed!

Our kitchens don’t clean themselves and our laundry doesn’t pop out of the dryer onto hangers.

I want to help my readers get through the hard moments of their days and help offer solutions and tricks to help family management go smoothly.
