If you looked up “average family” in the dictionary, you’d likely find a description of the Wades. The picture beside the description would be from 2019 or so because that’s about the last time we took a true family picture. I say all of that because not a lot news-worthy has happened at our house this week!
All the high school senior realities are piling on. Cap and Gown pick up. Last home track meet. Senior Prom tonight. All the college forms that need to be completed. Graduation tickets in hand. How did we get here so darn fast?
Did you know that dogs need flu shots? We’ve never been told that Bentley needs a flu shot and he was just at the doctor 2 weeks ago to have his boy parts removed. In making a reservation to have him boarded in a couple of weeks, we found out he can’t be boarded at this particular place because he hasn’t had a flu shot and doesn’t have enough time to do the whole series. What? Boarding plan C, here we come!
Since we didn’t have time to go and actually rent a tux for prom, I ordered 5 tuxes for Bailey to try on. I think this is the one he’s wearing tonight. I heard last night that one of his friends paid $250 to rent his tux for prom. No bueno! Now he has a tux for other formal events he may have to attend at Milligan.
Here are a few things to check out on the blog this week – Master Bedroom Refresh Update, Create an easily tidied house, and how to DIY a school memory box.
What the Cottage Keeper is Loving:
We love this Pioneer Woman Skillet Cookie, but I think I’d love this Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Skillet Cookie even more! (Did you know I love Chocolate and PB together?)
I read this article about busyness and it really resonated with me as I’ve spent the past year and a half back in the corporate world. I’d say this concept of busyness wraps into our homes, too. Just because we’re busy doesn’t mean we’re productive or accomplishing anything!
I love this list of things to declutter in 2023. My house needs a major purge!
This week we begin the accent wall process in our master bedroom, so this simple tutorial for installing an accent wall provided some inspiration!
Since I’ll be DIYing a Prom bouquet this afternoon, I’m loving all this bouquet inspiration!
