Welcome back for another edition of Cottage Keeping!
My Thoughts This Week:
1 – We’ve been beach bums, really condo bums, this week while my kids enjoy their spring break. Early March is not the best time to go to the beach in South Carolina if you want to sit in the sand or play on the water. It’s been a wee bit chilly here!
2 – Distances on the beach are very deceiving. We drug my 8-year-old on an 8-mile round trip walk Monday morning because my 11-year-old and I were determined to walk all the way to the pier! Needless to say, it was a long, slow, miserable trip back.

3 – Part of the fun of going to the beach is going shopping! (Why is that budget seems to be non-existent on vacation?) My 14-year-old is raving about his new ASICS NOVOBLAST running shoes. Thankfully, a BOGO50% off sale at the ASICS outlet saved us some cash and may save me from buying another pair of shoes for him for a couple of months. Who knew being the mother of a runner would mean I have a house full of expensive running shoes? It’s a good thing I can still find shoes for less than $10 for my 8-year-old!
4 – Also, if you need to plan a weekend trip and you live in the Carolinas, go to Wilmington, NC! We are already trying to figure out how to get back there after just a quick little day trip to hang out there this week.
5 – On the blog this week, we talked about this really great office design and how to get, and stay, motivated while we declutter and organize our homes!
Things I’m loving this week:
This china cabinet styled for spring is pretty awesome! Makes me want to go out and buy a china cabinet!
In the spirit of my office design post this week, check out these floating desk options for small spaces! Now I need a small space for a floating desk, don’t you?
Because I am always thinking about food, and one of my kids loves Chicken Alfredo, this Chicken Alfredo sandwich would be his dream!
I’m working on being more open to mixing patterns in my house, this mix and match throw pillow info is pretty timely!
And since it’s getting warm out and we’re starting to long for spring, how about some Inspiring patio makeovers?!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend! I hope you’re getting a glimpse of spring wherever you are!

This is a great round up! We just got back from spring break, too. It’s hard to get back in the swing of things! I want to go to South Carolina so badly some day!
