Cottage Keeping is my weekly post where I talk about my week and share my favorite DIYs, home decor, recipes, and other great posts from around the web.

It’s been a big week that began with a big weekend! Sent Bailey off to the senior prom on Saturday evening and then Sunday we celebrated his baptism. You can watch him share his testimony and be baptized HERE!
You know how I know we’re too busy? This house looks like a tornado has gone through it! It’s like the main living spaces look all neat and tidy, then you open the basement door and it looks just like my bedroom when I was a teenager – crap everywhere! Gonna have to bribe some of the offspring to do some cleanup in the hidden parts in the next couple of days.
I also know we’re busy when I pull out the crockpot and the instapot on the same day! Yep. That happened this week and I’m still not convinced that the instapot was a worthwhile investment. If I’m being honest, I think I’d rather have 2 crockpots, or crotch pots as my father-in-law once called them!
Did you score any Way Day Deals from Wayfair this year? Again, busy, but I didn’t need anything necessarily. I did score a Blackstone for Jake and bought a dresser for my bedroom in the pre-sale, but found it was $12 cheaper during the actual sale. I’m not bitter! 🙂
If you need me today, I’ll be putting dressers together and watching SVU. If you need Jake today, he’ll be buying a car to replace my son’s car which was wrecked and subsequently deemed a total loss by our insurance company almost 2 months ago.
On the blog this week, we talked paint and a cozy sitting area! Check out this week’s master bedroom update!
What the Cottage Keeper is Loving:
I love books! When I was younger, I wanted to be a librarian – even have a few hours toward an MLIS. So I’m really digging Karianne’s Book Folding 101! What a beautiful way to repurpose an old book!
Jenna Beth wants to have a Make Your Own Pizza Night party for her birthday. I’m loving Everyday Hostess’ ideas for a Build Your Own Pizza Bar Party!
With warm weather and all the season of creepy crawly and flying bugs right around the corner, we could all use Chas’ Irish Spring Soap and Flies Hacks to help keep the annoying critters away.
Are you ready to get your garage organized? Here are some Quick Garage Organization and Storage Ideas!
This Succulent Wall Art is amazing! One of my next projects will include faux succulents. Gotta get this master bedroom wrapped up first.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Such a sweet prom photo, and I love her prom dress. Beautiful, and age appropriate. Your son looks dapper as well.
