Welcome back to another installment of Cottage Keeping! It’s been an interesting week in my world!

My Thoughts This Week:
1 – On Monday, we celebrated my oldest son’s 16th birthday. It was all pretty low-key considering our schedules and all. Actually, we didn’t eat cake until Tuesday night because he had a track meet Tuesday and didn’t want to eat cake the night before. He has more self-control and discipline when it comes to food than any 16-year old I know! We ended his birthday celebration last night with delicious pasta at a local Italian restaurant!
2 – We found out Tuesday that both of my daughters need to serve a 10 day “close contact” quarantine! We are pretty positive that neither of them was within 6 feet of the soccer coach who tested positive for COVID for more than 15 minutes! Nonetheless, the Alabama Department of Public Health has spoken. Definitely experiencing a little deja vu here!
3 – My youngest told me that if I bought her a dress for Easter that she wouldn’t wear it! She detests dresses for some reason, but loves rompers and jumpsuits! This is the same kid who once refused to wear shorts and would only wear “skorts!” She’s weird! Thankfully, I found this romper at Walmart for her. Now I need to find her some shoes, which is more challenging than clothes with her!
4 – Between all the rain this week and the girls being quarantined, our weekend is going to be pretty chill! We will likely watch lots of basketball, probably play some angsty rounds of Phase 10 or Rummikub, and eat our Saturday evening Marco’s Pizza!
5 – On the blog this week, I shared a project I finally finished in my girls’ room (this week has been all about them, hasn’t it?)! A few more final details and I’ll be pretty much finished with their Coastal room makeover! I’m hoping to finish it up this week. I picked up a frame at Michael’s today that I’ve needed for a wall grouping. I can’t wait to show the whole room to you!
Things I’m Loving This Week:
Are legos taking over your house? Here’s a fun DIY Lego storage solution!
I’ve become obsessed with doing a patio makeover in the next couple of months and love this post on restoring weathered outdoor furniture!
Do you own this Threshold cabinet from Target? I have two and now I’m thinking one is going to need a little facelift after seeing this amazing redo!
Are you already looking ahead to Mother’s Day? Here are a few great gift ideas for all the moms!
I need to get spring plants for my front porch. This Dear Casa gives some great inspiration for transitioning outdoor plants from winter to spring!
We love to eat at my house! Don’t these Cheesy Ham-Jam Pinwheels look delicious? Yum!
Thanks for stopping by the Yellow Cottage this morning!
Do you have anything fun going on this weekend? Leave a comment and tell me what you have planned?
