Shoes accumulate in our homes quickly! To help us know where those shoes are when we need them, I’m sharing some simple shoe organization ideas for your family! Let’s fix our shoe storage issues for good!

I don’t know if this is true in your homes, but in mine, I can’t walk 10 steps without seeing a pair of shoes.
Or sometimes I find just one shoe all alone, hiding under the couch!
We’ve got all sorts of shoes.
Running shoes, better known as “trainers” at my house.
School shoes.
Soccer cleats.
Flip flops.
Crocs.
Church shoes.
Play shoes.
Shoes that need to be thrown in the trash because there are holes in the soles!
First, why on earth do we need so many pairs of shoes?
Second, since we have all these shoes, how can we store them so that we can find the shoes we need when we need them?
Oh, the shoe dilemma!
You know what I’m going to tell you is the first step in the shoe organization struggle is, right?
Have LESS shoes!
Yep, the first step to solving the shoe problem is to do a diligent purge.
Shoes that don’t fit – Donate.
Shoes that are falling apart – Trash or Recycle somehow.
Shoes that are uncomfortable – Donate.
Now that we have that elephant in the room out in the open, let’s find some reasonable ways to store our family’s shoes!
Simple Shoe Organization Ideas
Shoe Racks/Shelves for Shoe Storage
Basically, a bookshelf for shoes, a shoe rack is a fairly affordable option for organizing shoes.
They come in a variety of styles and materials and can be purchased at just about any big box store.
Stackable.
Metal.
Wood.
Particle Board.
Whatever location in your home needs a shoe rack, you are bound to find one that is going to fit your decor and storage needs!
Under Bed Shoe Storage Solutions
If you’re short on space, under bed storage solutions are a great option.
Under-bed storage is great for putting seasonal shoes, like boots in the summer or sandals in the winter, out of sight until they are weather appropriate again.
There are many high-quality under-bed storage options in various colors and sizes available.
Many of these options can be used for more than just shoes!
As a side note, you may need to add some bed risers to the feet of your bed to make room to slide these organizers under.
Hanging Shoe Storage Solutions
When storage space is at a minimum, I always look for vertical space to add some extra storage.
Think blank walls, the backs of doors, or even space on a clothes rod in a spare closet.
Tons of products are available to help make use of that once-wasted vertical space.
These are really budget-friendly and add a good bit of extra storage and get your shoes off the floor!
Protective Shoe Storage Solutions
Can you believe there are people out there who pay lots of money for shoes?
I’m not one of them and quite honestly, if not for watching a few seasons of Real Housewives, I’d have no idea what was so special about those red bottom Louboutin heels!
If you’re one of those people who likes expensive shoes, they make shoe organizing products just for you!
Keep your pretty and pricey shoes dust-free with these protective shoe storage solutions!
In fact, you can keep your expensive shoes in protective shoe boxes from Walmart.
It’s the best of both worlds!
Space Saving Shoe Storage Solutions
These solutions are unique and cool!
Maybe you have shelf space, but need to create just a little more to put an extra pair or two of shoes.
Perhaps you need a place to leave shoes that you wear to the mailbox or garbage can and don’t have room for another organizing piece.
