The Cottage Keeper’s Thoughts:

The biggest news around these parts is that we’ve put our Texas house on the market! We had 5 showings last night and have 4 more already scheduled through Sunday. Click here for the listing. (By the time I hit publish on this post, we accepted an offer!)

I’m no real estate expert, though there’s been talk this week of getting my real estate license, but I know the value in good listing pictures and having a home decluttered before those pictures are taken. I’m so shocked at the realtors who will put their names on listings with awful photos!

I started working with a new client this week. After our first session where I decluttered her bathroom, nothing really amazing, she hugged me as I walked out the door. I was reminded why I enjoy being a professional organizer! It’s the people and knowing that every item I toss in a trash bag or sort and categorize is improving their quality of life.

Next weekend, I’ll be posting this from a hotel in Atlanta where I’ll be at my first Haven Conference. I’m pretty nervous and anxious and feeling totally out of my league. I’ve always been curious about Haven and I’m sure I’ll have thoughts to share once the conference is over.
