Cottage Keeping

Cottage Keeping #32

Cottage Keeping is my weekly post where I talk about my week and share my favorite DIYs, home decor, recipes, and other great posts from around the web.

The Cottage Keeper’s Thoughts:

What a week!! From a lazy day at home to celebrate Easter together to hosting our twice monthly college girls’ group, to rescheduled track meets, to my organizing workshop talk, to a soccer game, to soccer practice, and ending the week with another track meet – we’re spent!

While working on my bedroom, I’ve been bothered by how junky our guest/storage room has become. It’s been a constant dumping ground for ALL THE THINGS. I spent some time Sunday trying to make it less of an eyesore.

Ready or Not – Prom is coming! My oldest is going to his first prom next Saturday and I keep thinking of things that we haven’t done yet. Since we have something every night of the week, every week, I ordered 5 tuxes on Amazon for him to try so he’d have something to wear. Then I realized I haven’t ordered a bouquet. Guess who will be adding “florist” to her resume next week?

This morning I finished my first devotion book of the year. Sure as the Sunrise by Emily Ley was simple, but thought-provoking most days.

On the blog this week, I continued the journey to transforming the master bedroom in very slow steps. You can read about that progress here and be sure to check out the inspiration post, too.

What the Cottage Keeper is Loving:

As warmer weather becomes more regular, I’m loving these tips on how to store your winter coats.

Short on space, but need a desk. Check out this amazing folding wall desk from Tree Farm Design Co!

One of our new favorite desserts from Easter is this Peanut Butter and Chocolate Trifle. Yum!

Did you know my real-life friend, Natalie Walters, is an author? Her newest book, Blind Trust, released this week! I have some reading to do!!

Love an organized pantry? Becky at Boxwood Home’s pantry makeover is amazing!

Enjoy your Saturday and don’t forget to file your taxes!
