The Cottage Keeper’s Thoughts:
I have this dream of having a “slow week”, whatever that means when you have 4 kids and other responsibilities, but so far, I haven’t quite figured out how to make the “slow week” thing a reality!
This week, my oldest son, Bailey, ran his first cross country meet of the year and had a successful outing. Tears were shed. Hugs were shared. It’s been a long journey of recovery with this kid, but to see him run with ease and confidence and speed did this momma’s heart lots of good!
Maverick, son #2, was just diagnosed with tendonitis so his cross country training has been put on hold. If we could get 2 running sons healthy at the same time, my personal stress level would decrease significantly!
Do you ever feel like your whole life is in a state of change? I hate change, but right now I’m in a season where everything is changing or about to change or could possibly change. It’s difficult for me to make plans week to week. I’ll say so much more about this soon, I promise. Just trying to wrap my head and heart around it all!
Speaking of change, I’ve been working on the updates to the website. In an effort to try to correct some of the inadequacies in the current layout and verbiage, it’s been a more time consuming endeavor than I anticipated. Here’s to hoping I can get it mostly complete in the next couple of weeks.
Since I have spent so much time working on the website fixes, I haven’t published any new content this week. Boo! However, if you’re looking for design inspiration, check out some of the design boards I’ve put together previously. Here’s a living room. Here’s a boys’ bedroom. Here’s a master bedroom and a sitting room. More new stuff coming this week – for real!
