Cottage Keeping

Hey friends! Thanks for stopping by for this week’s edition of Cottage Keeping.

This is your weekly reminder that none of us have every area of our lives completely together!

Hopefully, this is also a place where you can glean some inspiration for your homes and families. So let’s go!

The Cottage Keeper’s Thoughts:

Last week, I posted Cottage Keeping from a hotel lobby in Decatur, AL, where my daughter and her team were gearing up to play for the State Cup. I’m pleased to say that her team, Auburn Thunder 09G, brought the storm and won their portion of the tournament!

After a weekend away, I always feel like I’m way behind. I’m still feeling way behind, honestly! However, I did get my state taxes filed, made myself my first real haircut appointment in almost a year (these locks are getting chopped off), and made several returns of items that have been cluttering my office for several weeks.

Anyone else have a little anxiety this week about the gas issue in the southeast? I do a ton of driving to and from clients and have to take my son to Huntsville on Monday for an orthodontist appointment. Thankfully, my husband bought himself a fuel-efficient “go-kart” of a car this week so I have car options other than my mini-van.

Last week was rug week at our house! I think I mentioned that, but here’s a couple of pictures to show how much my new, lighter-colored rug changed the feel of our living room!

On the blog this week, I posted a tutorial on how to decoupage a large wooden letter! Sometime later today, probably this evening, I’ll be posting my One Room Challenge – Week 2 post. To get caught up, you can read my One Room Challenge – Week 1 post.
