Cottage Keeping

Welcome back to another edition of Cottage Keeping, my weekly installment of all the randomness from my week and some of the best recipes, DIYs, and other great content I’ve discovered, too!

My Thoughts This Week:

  1. Pollen, Pollen, Pollen! I’ve been an allergy/sinus-y mess this week. I’ve had to cancel 2 clients and have been extremely unproductive. I think I’ve officially used all of my sick days for 2021. Anyone else?
  1. My girls finished their “Warrentine” this week. We even made shirts to commemorate the fun survival! Shoo…Having them home for 2 weeks reminded me that summer break is coming and boredom must be thwarted!
  1. Do you have big plans for Easter? We’re going to go to the early service at church. Then we’re planning to do brunch at Another Broken Egg. Of course, I’ll be making some sort of special dessert. My kids love this Oreo Trifle and the Pioneer Woman’s Skillet Cookie! They haven’t indicated which they want me to make yet.
  1. I’m trying to up my photography game over here, so this week, I ordered a new lens for my camera! Pictures will always be the Achilles heel for my blog posts and social media feeds.
  1. Speaking of the blog, this week I featured this cool Patio Design and talked about a quick Book Painting DIY I did for my living room TV stand.

Things I’m Loving This Week:

Check out this beautiful Spring Patio Refresh by Make Mine A Spritzer. (See her picture below!)

Are you looking for a last minute Easter dessert? Try these Easter egg sugar cookies!

These Decoupage Chinoiserie Easter eggs are so cute and simple to make. You’ve still got time to get them done before Easter lunch!

Need to hide an unsightly appliance. Check out this DIY End Table to Hide the Shredder! Pure genius!

And these Cottontail Pillow covers are too sweet, right? So simple to make and add a little spring to your couch or favorite chair!

Do you need to clean your windows on your patio or porch? Try this method to clean mirrors and windows and tell me how it works for you! Looks easy enough!

Thanks for stopping by! Now go and run all those last-minute, panic-driven errands so you can get those Easter baskets full and get food on the table for your crowd of hungry people tomorrow. Or sit and watch the Final Four…Whatever floats your boat today! Enjoy your Saturday!

Happy Easter! He Is Risen!

Good morning, Jen! I’m so sorry allergies are getting you down. Your photography is beautiful. But I can empathize because I struggle with the same thing. What a treat to be mentioned on your beautiful blog, I can’t thank you enough. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter. I vote for the PW pan cookie. No wait … maybe the Oreo Trifle. Oh, I can’t decide … can we have both?! xo

You are very welcome! Your patio is so inviting and amazing! If it were up to me, we’d eat nothing but dessert all day, every day, but we’re going with Oreo Trifle tomorrow!
